Blacksburg, Virginia, is an ever-changing town with Virginia Tech, a university home to over 37,000 students, at its center. For our overarching story, we felt that a piece that highlighted certain demographics within Blacksburg would provide adequate context as to why people may live here. We felt that age, employment industry, educational attainment, income and housing were all important factors with compelling data that contributed to our topic.
