Blacksburg is known for being the home of Virginia Tech, but this town has a lot more to offer. Our group wanted to see what makes this town special apart from the university by looking at the locals in the area who call this place home year round. We also wanted to acknowledge how immersed this university is with the town itself. In addition, we also looked at the different challenges that are faced with living in a constantly changing and advancing town. Both Blacksburg and Virginia Tech have blossomed from small beginnings into nationally known areas, and that in and of itself is at the crux of the work we did to complete this project.
